It is no exaggeration to say that this concert going to be unique. This night should be called „the meeting of giants”, based on the attendants’ rich artistic experience. In few years a talented group of musicians has developed into one of the most prominent chamber orchestras in Europe - founded by the world-famous violinist, Gidon Kremerthey are called Kremerata Baltica. The group going to meet tonight the illustrious and outstanding Argentinean pianist, Martha Argerich. She is widely recognized as one of the greatest pianists of our days. Argerich rose to international prominence when she won the seventh International Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw in 1965, at age 24. Since the 1980s, she has staged few solo performances, concentrating instead on
concertos and, in particular, chamber music, and collaborating with instrumentalists in sonatas. The concert is a part of an international tour, which is completed by Concerto Budapest winds section. The passionate repertoire looks beyond the mainstream and going to show each nuance of romanticism.
